Our Objectives

SRDTHFD Objectives:-

1.To bring the dedicated Microbiologists, Pathologists, Physicians, Epidemiologists, Taxonomists, under one umbrella to discuss the problem of fungal diseases in different parts of the World.

2. To develop fungal diagnostic facilities and research in this region. In order to develop human fungal pathogen reference center, rapid presumptive identification of medically relevant fungi upto the species level by using genetic and molecular techniques.

3. To develop linkage with National and International funding organizations to get financial and technical support to boost further research.

4. To expand and reinforce the existing National Reference Center in Medical mycology at Jabalpur , in order to cater to the growing needs for epidemiological studies, education/training, quality control and evaluation of diagnostic procedures as well as therapy.

5. To provide fungal diagnostic facility for HIV/AIDS, Cancer,TB and other patients of any Institute in the region.

6. To create awareness about Medical Mycology among Scientists and Health planners and train the technical staff of the laboratory in the diagnosis of the diseases.

7. To conduct technical seminars on different aspects of Medical Mycology and send recommendations to the health Department for compliance.
